Generally no. See the answer in the Licence FAQ for more details of who can use the service.
The appropriate copyright statement can be found in the Licence Agreement or in the Licence FAQs.
This is usually because you have not used the service for over a year or your institution has recently made some changes to their authentication system. Please contact us is you have further questions.
The publication date of the maps and data available from Digimap can be found here.
Please talk to your local support staff within your institution. EDINA does not issue passwords, there is no special password for Digimap, you should use the same password as for other electronic resources to which your institution provides you with access.
See: Digimap Login Help for more information.
You can contact the Digimap Site Representative at your institution by using the Contact Us link within Digimap. Select “Your institution’s Digimap Support” once you have filled in details of your query.
We are aware of situations where anti-virus software installed on computers blocks the maps streamed from Digimap. Some versions of Kaspersky Anti-Virus seem to be particularly problematic.
Adding Digimap to the list of trusted sites should resolve this problem, although the specific format of the URL to trust is important. Please check that Digimap is listed as one of your trusted sites. If Digimap is listed and the maps still fail to load, please contact the EDINA helpdesk digimap@ed.ac.uk for assistance. We will need to know the name and version of the anti-virus software you think may be causing a problem.
You may also find that re-loading the page forces the maps to refresh and re-draw. If this problem is persistent, please contact us on digimap@ed.ac.uk
In Roam you can print the maps at a user defined scale within a scale band. To print a larger map area you can choose a larger paper size - up to A0.
You cannot create a map in Digimap without a watermark. If you want a map without a watermark you will need to download the data and create a map using a GIS. Don't forget to add the appropriate copyright statement to any maps you make using a GIS or other system.
I've successfully logged in, but sometimes maps fail to load. What should I do?
We have recently been alerted to situations where anti-virus software installed on computers are unfortunately blocking the maps streamed from Digimap. Some versions of Kaspersky Anti-Virus seem to be particularly problematic.

There are instructions on how to load and view data from Digimap in AutoCAD in the Help pages.
Generally you should use the Data Download tools to download any data you need. Please see our large download request policy for more information.
There are a number of reasons why you may not have received an email confirming your data order:
Changing your email address may not take effect immediately and may be checked by EDINA for data security purposes. If you ordered data immediately after changing your email address, the order confirmation emails may have been sent to the old address. This means that you may not receive them.
If the email address displayed prior to ordering your data is wrong, please change your email address then reorder the data the following day.
The most common reason for this to occur is that you have not logged in fully before clicking the link in the email. Before you click on the link you will need to login in to Digimap accept the licence terms for the Ordnance Survey Collection and be at least on the OS Collection home page. If you have not logged in you will be asked to go through the procedure, but you will need to go back to the email and click on the link again to get to your data.
Once the data from Data Download has been accessed it will no longer be available for download. It is important that the first thing you do with the data is to save it to your computer. If you try opening the zip folder then this will count as accessing the data and if you do not then subsequently save the files from the Zip folder you will not be able to take this data again. You will have a similar problem if your download is interrupted or cancelled after it has started. If you are getting the error message that the data has already been taken you will have to go to your Account page and reorder the download. You will receive the emails again to tell you when the order is ready.
