Introduction to visualising data

Description

This exercise is an ideal introduction to using map data in ArcGIS or QGIS. It covers several common tasks, such as data selection and symbolisation.

Description

In this exercise you will query vector map data to find out how many buildings are at risk of flooding.

Description

In this exercise you will download historic maps from Historic Digimap.

    
The historic maps will be added to ArcGIS and overlaid with contemporary map data.

The aim of this exercise is to use several map data products to build up a picture of proposed new wind farm sites in the North West of England.

The aim of this exercise is to combine geological onshore mapping with Ordnance Survey backdrop mapping.

    
You will apply the British Geological Survey map style to the geological vector mapping.

Description

You will download and import a range of  marine and Ordnance Survey data to build up a picture of the site for the new Forth Crossing. You will create a cross section to display the water depth profile over the new crossing route.
