OverviewOS MasterMap® Water Network Layer is a digital representation of watercourses presented as a series of connected centrelines. It depicts a wide range of features, from aqueducts to tunnels, with full flow direction and other supplementary information. The Getting Started Guide produced by Ordnance Survey details how to use the data in QGIS, ArcMap and MapInfo. Additionally, ESRI have produced a useful guide on Using the Water Network Layer in ArcGIS. The OS MasterMap® Water Network Layer is provided in the ESPG 7405 projection, which is a British National Grid projection that includes the Z value (height) above Ordnance Datum Newlyn. |
